King City Saddle Club Officers and Board are proud to announce that our application for a grant from the Illinois Equine Promotion Board has been approved. Vice President Matt Thouvenin and Secretary Linda Kennedy will accept the award on Sunday, March 8th, at the Illinois Horse Fair. We want to thank everyone who was involved in obtaining the information necessary to put the application together. Great job! Thanks also to each and every member who pays the check-off when they buy feed. That is where this money comes from.
We applied for a grant for a new PA system and to gravel the driveways and improve the arena. Under the rules of the grant, the money must be used for these items only. Any funds that are not used for these items, must be returned to IEPB. The IEPB monitors the grants, projects and completion of same

A motion was passed at the August meeting that if the King City Saddle Club is given a check that comes back as insufficient funds. That person has to bring cash to settle the problem as well as be on a cash only basis with our club. Also, the owner of the check may be liable for any bank fees that are passed on to us as well.
